The report celebrates the school’s high expectations and the positive impact of ‘The St Paul’s Way’, a guiding mantra that inspires pupils to persevere and become the best version of themselves. The school was recognised for its high academic ambition for all pupils, including those with SEND, and the exceptional personal development offer that helps children build character, leadership, and life skills.

Key highlights from the report include:

  • Outstanding ratings for Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, and Early Years Provision

  • A Good rating for Quality of Education and Leadership and Management

  • A rich and carefully sequenced curriculum that ensures knowledge builds over time

  • A commitment to early reading success, supported by skilled and passionate staff

  • A thriving programme of trips, leadership roles, and enrichment activities shaped by pupil voice

The inspectors also commended the school’s leadership team and governing body for their effective oversight, and staff for their dedication and teamwork, noting that they feel valued and well supported.

Benjamin Hulme, Executive Headteacher, commented:
"This report reflects the warmth, ambition, and dedication that define our school community. We are particularly proud of the recognition given to our inclusive ethos, the strength of our early years foundation, and the way our pupils rise to the high expectations set for them every day."

James Johnson, Head of School, added:
"St Paul’s is a special place, and we are delighted that Ofsted has recognised the hard work of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils, and the strong partnerships with our families. We remain committed to ensuring that every child continues to thrive, learn, and grow."

The Compass Federation congratulates everyone at St Paul’s on this well-deserved recognition. The report reaffirms the school’s place as a vibrant and nurturing environment where all children are supported to achieve their very best.
